Balancing Business Risks & Ethics
(4 Hours Elective CE)

This course provides an integrated study of the daily legal issues and risk management concerns that occur in the business of real estate, and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. Many of the provisions of the Code of Ethics can be paired with state and federal real estate statutes, rules, and requirements.

The provisions of the Code of Ethics will be examined alongside state and federal statutes to illustrate their interaction, and to provide an understanding of the relationship between the requirements, regardless of their source.

Learn the following:

  • The various Articles and Standards of Practice contained within the REALTOR® Code of Ethics
  • Risks and legal issues that occur every day in real estate
  • Legal compliance statutes and rules
  • Provisions of the Code of Ethics and statutory requirements to actual fact patterns and case studies
  • Ethical obligations to both your clients, and fellow REALTORS®
