CRCBR: Broker-in-Charge Update Course (Wed. 3 May, 2017 8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

The 2016-17 Commercial Broker-in-Charge Update Course (BICUP) satisfies the mandatory update course for brokers-in-charge who wish to remain broker-in-charge as of July 1, 2017 for the 2017-18 licensing period. It is a modified version of the standard BICUP which uses commercially relevant content and examples. Only licensees who are brokers-in-charge or broker-in-charge eligible will receive credit for this course. CRCBR strongly recommends that commercial practitioners take the commercial version of the BICUP or GenUp, as applicable.

CRCBR: General Update (Commercial Version) (Wed. 3 May, 2017 8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

This course is being given by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS®. Please refer all questions to them at 704-377-8982.

The 2016-17 Commercial GenUp will provide Commission updates about requirements, revised rules and laws, selected topics, licensing and education review, and more. PLEASE NOTE: BICs and BIC-eligible brokers must take the BIC Update. CRCBR strongly recommends that commercial practitioners take the commercial version of the BICUP or GenUp, as applicable.

GRI: Balancing Business Risks & Ethics (Wed. 3 May, 2017 8:30 am - 5:00 pm)

This course provides an integrated study of the daily legal issues and risk management concerns that occur in the business of real estate, and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. Many of the provisions of the Code of Ethics can be paired with state and federal real estate statutes, rules, and requirements. 

The provisions of the Code of Ethics will be examined alongside state and federal statutes to illustrate their interaction, and to provide an understanding of the relationship between the requirements, regardless of their source.

CRCBR: From Heaven to Hell: Air, Surface & Subsurface (Wed. 3 May, 2017 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm)

This course is being given by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS®. Please refer all questions to them at 704-377-8982.

This is a timely course that deals with the issues related to oil/mineral rights, including fracking, contract issues and title and homeowners insurance problems. The teacher will include a review of air and water rights as well. This course received the 2014 Real Estate Education Program of the Year.
