NC REEF donates $15,000 to Homes4NC for a new Work Smarter program

Greensboro, NC (December 17, 2017) – The North Carolina Real Estate Education Foundation (NC REEF) approved a $15,000 donation to Homes4NC during its December Board meeting to form a new, collaborative partnership, Work Smarter, that provides extensive education for REALTORS® servicing first-time homebuyers across North Carolina.

The check was presented to Homes4NC by NC REEF Director Lou Baldwin during Homes4NC’s January Board meeting. The funds were earmarked by Homes4NC for member education through the new Work Smarter Initiative.

The initiative is a four-hour credit course, instructed by Jane Cavanagh, that facilitates the instruction of the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency curriculum, Financing Dreams. The course targets REALTORS® who want to learn about the down payment assistance and other resources available at the state and local levels for first-time homebuyers and to be certified as a preferred broker with special expertise. The course meets the North Carolina Real Estate Commission’s standards for continuing education.

The North Carolina Real Estate Educational Foundation, Inc. (NC REEF) is the real estate educational resource for REALTORS®, non-member licensees, and consumers in North Carolina. Through original video tutorials, scholarships and other content, NC REEF elevates the real estate profession through education and awareness.
