NC REALTORS® Annual Awards presented at October’s Membership Meeting
NC REALTORS® is thrilled to announce multiple members were presented with achievement awards during the General Membership Meeting at the 2020 virtual October Business Meetings. Recognition included the REALTOR® of the Year, Hall of Fame inductees, the REALTOR® Innovation & Entrepreneurial Excellence Award recipient, and multiple service awards from across the state.
Asa Fleming of Raleigh is the recipient of the 2020 REALTOR® of the Year award. He is the 71st honoree of this prestigious award, which was started in 1951 and recognizes dedication and service to the organization, the real estate industry, and the community.
Sandra O’Connor, Wendell Bullard and Patrice Willets were inducted into NC REALTORS® Hall of Fame. The award was established in 1990 to honor outstanding REALTORS® who contributed outstanding services to the real estate profession through development, environment, government and leadership.

- Advocacy Champion Award – Senator Rick Gunn
- Federal Political Coordinator Award – Linda Trevor, Raleigh Regional Realtors
- Innovation & Entrepreneurial Award – Stephen Long, Winston-Salem Regional Realtors Assoc
- Committee Member of the Year – Rick Westover, Greensboro Regional Realtors Assoc

- Region2 – Jim Goodman, Brunswick Co. Assoc
- Region 4 – Kim Dawson, Durham Regional Assoc
- Region 5 – Ray Alexander, Greensboro Regional Realtors Assoc

Leigh Brown is running for 2022 President-Elect of NC REALTORS®
During the Membership Meeting, it was announced that Leigh Brown, of Central Carolina Association of REALTORS®, will be running for 2022 President-Elect. The announcement was made by Darrell Thomas, Leigh’s father.
