LOCAL POLICY DIRECTOR

NC REALTORS® is seeking a Local Policy Director to join our Government Affairs team. The Local Policy Director will provide professional service and expertise to assigned programs, tracking and analyzing local ordinances related to real estate issues, identifying emerging trends, and assisting local associations in responding to these issues.

The Local Policy Director is part of a highly collaborative team of dedicated professionals and engaged volunteers. Strong candidates for this position have:

  • Political savvy and a strong understanding of local and state political processes.
  • Experience gathering, synthesizing, and disseminating relevant data in an accessible way.
  • Ability to analyze political issues and provide clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Previous experience or familiarity with real estate or association management desired. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution is required.

This position is based in the Raleigh office of NC REALTORS® and consistent presence in the office is expected. Some travel is required.

LOCAL ADVOCACY DIRECTOR

NC REALTORS® is seeking a Local Advocacy Director to join our Government Affairs team. The Local Advocacy Director will equip local associations across the state to build a culture of advocacy, providing training, tools and resources to support the goals of the local associations and the state association.

The Local Advocacy Director is part of a highly collaborative team of dedicated professionals and engaged volunteers. Strong candidates for this position have:

  • Political savvy and a strong understanding of local and state political processes.
  • Experience developing and advancing advocacy programs for volunteers.
  • A demonstrated track record of securing advocacy resources through grants and other funding opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate with and engage colleagues, constituents, and volunteers. Previous experience as a trainer preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
