Christina Asbury becomes the first NC REALTOR® to complete C2EX program
Take your professionalism to the next level with the C2EX (Commitment to Excellence) program! This program allows REALTORS® the opportunity to build upon their expertise to help better serve their clients and uphold the Code of Ethics. The C2EX program is a benefit available to all NAR members at no additional cost. Christina Asbury of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage is the first NC REALTOR® to complete this program. Here’s what she had to say about her experience:
Why should other NC REALTORS® complete the C2EX program? It sheds a light on all of the facets of our industry, from consumer advocacy to involvement in governmental affairs, and education on RPAC. There is a lot of information in the program designed to help REALTORS® position themselves as leaders in their communities and real estate endeavors.
What have you found to be the most useful information from the C2EX program? All of the different ways to be involved in the real estate industry! There’s really something for everyone, whether you are more interested in the political advocacy issues, professional standards, or just by attending local planning or economic development meetings, everyone can be involved in something and share that info with other real estate professionals.
The C2EX program is designed for REALTORS® to work at their own pace. How did you go about completing the program? I completed the program on my home laptop, over a good cup of coffee, once I saw the link come out. I have been heavily involved in our local, state, and National Association of REALTORS®, so I was able to go through the program faster than some might be able to. It was quite simple and, as a mom, a few times I had to pause and go back to return to the course.
How long did it take you to complete the program? About 3 hours in total.
How did you hear about the C2EX program? As a longtime member of the National Association of REALTORS® Professional Standards Committee, I have known this program was coming for years and had been anticipating its rollout! I was so excited to learn I was the first to complete the program! I think that this program would be very beneficial for local associations to incorporate into their orientation programs, and for brokers in charge to enlighten their associates on how they can make an impact for REALTORS® and consumers of real estate in NC!
