Government Affairs Assistant

NC REALTORS® is seeking an entry-level Government Affairs Assistant to join the growing NC REALTORS® Government Affairs Department. Provide professional service, support, and assistance to all NC REALTORS® Government Affairs Department programs, including but not limited to lobbying efforts, NC REALTORS® PAC operations, communications, and member engagement. The position is intended to become a generalist within the Department, able to adapt to changing member needs and staff responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have two or more years’ experience, preferably in political campaigns or government affairs. Candidates should have a basic knowledge of the political process. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who can handle the responsibilities of a partially remote role. Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines are a must. Dedication to customer service, problem resolution and working together as a team to achieve goals and objectives will enable a person to have success in this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, as well as basic Microsoft Office skills required. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution is required.

This position will be located in NC REALTORS® Raleigh office.

Housing Foundation Director

NC REALTORS® is accepting applications for the position of NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation Director. The Foundation Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation – NCRHF – a 501(c)(3) public charity. This position implements member and community outreach initiatives including those for disaster relief, financial literacy and housing affordability. Candidates with strong communication skills and credentials in program management, volunteer and board relations, development and communication are encouraged to apply for this exciting position in Greensboro, NC.

The successful candidate will have five or more years’ experience, preferably in association or nonprofit environment with a minimum two years of development, fundraising or corporate sales experience. Candidates should have strong managerial, relationship management and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact with executive level constituents. We are seeking a person with the capacity to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion, including the ability to build consensus and balance multiple concurrent priorities with a very high level of organization and follow-through. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution is required.

This position will be located Greensboro, North Carolina. Limited travel is required.

Local Government Affairs Director (GAD)

NC REALTORS® is seeking a dynamic Local Government Affairs Director for the western region of North Carolina to provide professional service, expertise and government affairs representation for the Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® in Asheville, NC and other REALTOR® associations in the region. Government affairs services would include educating and mobilizing members, policy development, and developing an action plan to implement the same. The GAD would also be expected to perform government affairs duties for NC REALTORS®, and would report to a supervisor at NC REALTORS®.

The successful candidate will have two or more years’ experience, preferably in political campaigns, local governments or government affairs. Candidates should have a basic knowledge of the political process and experience with campaigns and/or politics. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who can handle the responsibilities of a partially remote role. Organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision are a must. Dedication to customer service, problem resolution and working together as a team to achieve goals and objectives will enable a person to have success in this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, as well as basic Microsoft Office skills required. Some database management and mining experience is beneficial. Although the candidate should be a self-starter, frequent contact with NC REALTORS® is required. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution is required.

This position will be located in the western region of North Carolina. Travel is required.
