Political Fundraising Intern
The NC REALTORS® is seeking a temporary, full-time intern in the Government Affairs Department to assist in increasing the participation from NC REALTORS® members by investing in NC REALTORS® PAC. The position is based out of our Raleigh office and will report directly to the Director of Political Fundraising. Estimated start/end dates of mid-July through mid-August 2018. This position is a temporary, full time position working 37.5 hours/week.

Responsibilities include: taking incoming member calls, processing investments and accepting payments for NC REALTORS® PAC, making outgoing customer calls or cold calls in order to increase member participation in NC REALTORS® PAC, answering questions about NC REALTORS® PAC, explaining benefits and levels of investing in NC REALTORS® PAC, attending NC REALTORS® PAC events as required. Local and in-state day travel may be required sponsored by NC REALTORS®.

Required skills include: marketing and sales skills, verbal communication, telephone skills, interpersonal communication, customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to track leads, accuracy, patience, motivation, high energy, ability to meet goals, data entry, product knowledge and organizational skills.

State Grassroots Coordinator
NC REALTORS® is seeking a State Grassroots Coordinator for the Homeowners Alliance, the grassroots and political campaign wing of NC REALTORS®. The State Grassroots Coordinator can expect to provide professional service and expertise to the members of the Homeowners Alliance in the field of real estate-related governmental policy and current knowledge of legislative issues.

The position will provide fundamental grassroots campaign services such as educating and mobilizing members, representing the organization at public events, presenting policy platforms, and developing action plans to increase membership to the organization. The position will also contribute to policy development in support of the Governmental Affairs department of NC REALTORS®. The ideal candidate will have three or more years’ experience, preferably in grassroots work, political campaign work, government affairs, or political event coordination. Organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision are a must. Dedication to supporting our members, problem resolution, and willingness to work with others as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives are key attributes of a successful candidate.

The position places heavy emphasis on excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience with the NationBuilder database platform or a similar database is preferable. Some database management and mining experience is beneficial.

Vice President of Operations
NC REALTORS® is seeking a VP of Operations, located in Greensboro, NC. NC REALTORS® maintains a diverse and comprehensive array of programs and services serving a REALTOR® community of over 42,000 members. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and strategically supporting initiatives aimed at assuring the association’s long term growth and sustainability. The Vice President of Operations will also provide operational oversight to effectively and efficiently achieve association goals and enhance overall organizational capacity and performance. Working side by side with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice President of Operations will communicate and build commitment to the association’s vision, mission, goals and strategic direction among staff and members.

This position requires a candidate to have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution. Additionally a law degree or advanced degree in management or related field is preferred.

Relevant required experience includes a minimum of 7 years of professional experience including experience in association management and/or personnel management.
