The Executive Committee is a committee of the NC REALTORS® Board of Directors, and may, with a few important exceptions, act on behalf of the Board of Directors. Except for responsibilities specifically given to the Board of Directors or may otherwise be provided by law, the Executive Committee has authority to act for the Board of Directors and reports any and all matters executed by the Committee at the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors.

The Global Committee was organized to assist local associations and NC REALTORS® in making the global real estate market more accessible, profitable, and ethical for NC REALTOR® members.

The Innovation Forum provides members across all specialties and market types an opportunity to discuss issues impacting the current real estate market as well as issues that will have either short or long term impacts on the industry or association. Issues and potential solutions will then feed into association committees for action.

The Member Benefits Committee will identify, assess, test and recommend products and services through negotiated agreements with companies providing important member benefits at group discounted rates and/or with enhanced benefits; and, be responsible for sharing with the general membership the existence and value of the member benefits offered by NC REALTORS®.

The Legislative Committee is responsible for the development and execution of the Association’s legislative and regulatory activities. The Legislative Committee is authorized and directed to develop a Policy Statement for the Association which outlines positions on various legislative actions or public policy issues.

A network of allied Appraisal professionals that communicate with each other and act as advocates to speak with a common voice to the interests of its members; collect and disseminate information beneficial to Appraisal professionals; develop and recommend legislative policy/positions to the NCR Legislative Committee; protect and promote the importance of the Appraisal profession; and advise/interact with NCR committees and leadership to provide information, solutions and assistance with reference to appraisal concerns.

The NC REALTORS® Federal Political Coordinators are REALTORS® who serve as the key contacts for each member of North Carolina’s Congressional delegation. NC FPCs ensure that the REALTOR® voice is heard on Capitol Hill and that federal decisions reflect the needs of NC property owners and communities.

The NC REALTORS® charitable housing foundation, NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation, provides affordable housing and disaster relief to deserving families. Founded in 2004, the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity that provides resources to create, expand and encourage home ownership opportunities for North Carolinians. The foundation promotes awareness of affordable housing issues by educating North Carolinians and their representatives about the barriers to home ownership and the resources needed to increase housing affordability. The NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation also provides emergency disaster relief for victims who have lost their home through a natural disaster. We raise funds from caring donors who want to build stable families and stable communities in our state.

The Property Management Division (PMD) of NC REALTORS® provides education, resources, and advocacy to support property managers across North Carolina. PMD works to elevate professionalism, address industry challenges, and create a strong network for members engaged in residential and commercial property management.

All corporate powers are exercised by or under the authority of, and the affairs of the Association managed under the direction of, the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors administers the finances of the Association and has sole authority to appropriate money. The Board of Directors also approves the Association’s Strategic Plan, annual budget, and any amendments to the Bylaws.
