NC REALTOR® appointed to North Carolina Real Estate Commission

Sandra OConnorRaleigh, North Carolina (September 8, 2017) – NC REALTORS® is pleased to announce the appointment of 2009 NC REALTORS® President Sandra O’Connor to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission by Governor Roy Cooper.

“Sandra is an excellent choice to join the Commission,” said Andrea Bushnell, NC REALTORS® CEO. “She has been a consummate advocate of the profession, and a wonderful representative of our association and its members.”

O’Connor, the Broker in Charge of the Greensboro Green Valley Branch office of Allen Tate Company, has been a licensed broker since 1983. She has held numerous leadership positions at the local, state, and national level, including serving as the 2001 President of the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association and the 2015 National Association of REALTORS® Region 4 Vice President. In 2014, O’Connor was named the NC REALTOR® of the Year.

“I am extremely excited about this opportunity to represent the state’s real estate industry as a part of the Commission,” said O’Connor. “I look forward to continuing the long tradition of professionalism and consumer protection for which the Commission has become known.”

In addition to her work on behalf of REALTORS®, Sandra is also very involved in the Greensboro community. She was the 2002 Chair of the Greensboro Planning Board and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Guilford Green Foundation.
