NC REALTORS® selected to lead licensing boards

Four NC REALTORS® members have recently been selected to lead three important licensing bodies for our profession and our state: the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board, and the North Carolina Home Inspectors Licensure Board.

For the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, Jeff Malarney was elected as Chair and Sandra O’Connor as Vice Chair. Jeff previously served on the Commission from 2007-2013 before being reappointed in 2018. He succeeds Anna Gregory Wagoner as Chair. Sandra was the 2009 NC REALTORS® President and has served on the Commission since 2017. She succeeds fellow NC REALTORS® Past President Tommy Lawing, Jr. as the Commission’s Vice Chair.

Lisa York was elected as the Vice Chair of the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board. Lisa has served on the Board since 2018 and holds multiple certifications in the auctioneer field in addition to her REALTOR® service.

And during their July meeting, the North Carolina Home Inspectors Licensure Board elected Connie Corey as Vice Chair. Connie has served on the Board since 2017 and was the 2003 NC REALTORS® President.
