NC REALTORS® statement regarding COVID-19

Greensboro, North Carolina (March 11, 2020) — Today, NC REALTORS®, a trade association representing more than
48,000 real estate professionals across the state of North Carolina, took the following steps in response to the growing
public health situation posed by the Novel Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.

Out of an abundance of caution for the association’s members, staff, their families, and the community at large, NC
REALTORS® has postponed all planned events and suspended non-essential travel for staff and volunteer leaders until
Friday, April 17, 2020.

This decision is based on the announcement by public health officials that multiple cases of the virus have been
confirmed in North Carolina and the growing concern regarding additional transmission in large groups. The association
is also following the guidance outlined in Executive Order 116 which was issued by Governor Cooper on Tuesday, as well
as guidance issued by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) earlier this week.

“The health and safety of NC REALTORS® members, staff and their families is our first priority, so it was important for us
to make this decision,” said Maren Brisson-Kuester, 2020 NC REALTORS® President. “We continue to monitor the advice
of public health officials as this issue evolves and have protocols in place to continue our service to our NC REALTORS®
members. While this temporarily changes the operations of our association, it does not change the work our REALTOR®
members do every day to represent their clients in real estate transactions and support the state’s real estate industry.”

NC REALTORS® encourages all persons in North Carolina follow the information disseminated by local, state, and
national public health officials. For more information, please refer to the Centers for Disease Control’s COVID-19 page at
