Virtual | Short Sales & Foreclosures

March 19 @ 9:00 am 4:00 pm

We haven’t offered the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource(SFR®) certification course very often, and boy, is it timely now. Why? Sure, most real estate markets in North Carolina are thriving, and there are very few short sales. But now is a great time to learn and prepare for the future. There are a limited number of experienced REALTORS® who have the skills to effectively brokerage distressed properties. By earning your  SFR® certification, you uncover additional opportunities to help buyers and sellers navigate short sales and foreclosure in the future.

  • How events like the 2008 housing crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted distressed buyers
  • The listing agent’s role in assisting distressed borrowers/sellers in navigating short sales
  • The steps involved in taking a short sale listing
  • The buyer’s agent role with short sale and REO transactions
  • Short sales from contract to closing
  • Topics and trends in short sales and foreclosures, and adapting your business to respond to these trends

This class provides the following credit: 4 Hours of CE

Members of Cape Fear REALTORS® & Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Registration (with CE): $110
NC REALTORS® Member Registration (with CE): $120
Non-member Registration (with CE): $130

Cynthia DeLuca

Cynthia DeLuca has sold thousands of properties, managed over 135 REALTORS®, and educated tens of thousands of real estate professionals. After selling her real estate brokerage, Cynthia decided to focus her career on helping other REALTORS® reach a higher potential. She has been there, done that, walks the talk, and loves to share her experiences with others so they can excel in their career.

Cynthia’s love of real estate goes beyond her professional career. Cynthia purchased her first rental property over 20 years ago and as the saying goes, the rest is history. She now manages a portfolio of rental properties together with her husband.

After being asked a multitude of times how she got started, Cynthia wrote a book called The High Heels Landlord, available on Amazon. Her second book, released in late 2018, named Fill’er Up, is also available on Amazon.

In 2021, following a long and successful career, Cynthia released her third book, The Standout Agent, which quickly became a #1 Seller on Amazon.

Cynthia has been featured in both Florida REALTOR® Magazine and the National REALTOR® Magazine. She has received the prestigious Florida REALTOR®’s Educator of the Year award along with the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association’s Educator of the Year award.

Cynthia’s passion is property management and investment properties. In her spare time, she collects more rental properties and visits her favorite hangout, Lowe’s.
