John Wait, Attorney
Martin & Gifford

John Wait joined NC REALTORS® in 2015. He previously worked solo at his own firm and clerked for several judges at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. When he’s not answering Legal Hotline questions, he practices law at Martin & Gifford. John has extensive experience drafting contracts and forms for real estate transactions. He handles disciplinary cases before the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, and also has broad experience litigating cases in all of North Carolina’s courts, federal court, and the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Outside of work, John enjoys playing soccer, mountain biking, road cycling, triathlons, and spending time with his family.

Tiffany Ross, Consumer Resource Officer
North Carolina Real Estate Commission

Tiffany Ross is the North Carolina Real Estate Commission’s first Consumer Resource Officer. Tiffany brings to the Commission a wealth of experience in real estate education, brokerage, writing, and compliance. In addition to her education and compliance background, she has been a real estate licensee for over 18 years. Tiffany evaluates the Commission’s current consumer resources and initiatives, and has recommended strategies that align with the Commission’s consumer education goals. She is also responsible for raising awareness about current real estate related issues among licensees and the public

Fred Moreno, Chief Deputy Legal Counsel
North Carolina Real Estate Commission

Fred Moreno is the Chief Deputy Legal Counsel for the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. A Cary, North Carolina native, Fred graduated from East Carolina University a degree in Business Administration. Followed by the North Carolina Central University School of Law, receiving his J.D. degree. He joined the Commission’s Regulatory Affairs staff in June 2013. Fred’s duties involve prosecuting complaints before the Commission, conducting settlement negotiations of contested cases, representing the Commission on appeal, and responding to inquiries relating to the License Law, Commission rules, and real estate transactions, generally. Fred is also registered as a Legislative Liaison and represents the Commission’s interests in dealings with the General Assembly.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations: Cancellations may be processed online and will be accepted up to one (1) business day preceding each course. Course registration less a cancellation fee may apply. Refunds will not be granted to no-shows or last minute cancellations.

To cancel a class: Login to the NC REALTORS® website. Find your class under “Upcoming Events” on the Member Dashboard or by locating the class you want to cancel on the NC REALTORS® calendar. Under registration details, you will see an option to “Cancel”. On the following page, select “Submit Cancellation”.

NCR reserves the right to cancel/change any course at any time. If a course is canceled, you will be notified as soon as possible. You will receive either a full refund or, if rescheduled, you may transfer to the new date. NCR is not responsible for any out-of-pocket expenses (lodging, airfare, etc.) you may incur when a course is canceled or rescheduled.

Photography waiver: Portions of this course may be photographed, or audio/video recorded for various purposes, including reporting/promotion. By registering, you agree that NCR and/or anyone acting on their behalf may photograph or record by audio/video your attendance and involvement in any portion of the course.
